Mercy Ministries
Mercy Ministries International (MMI), is a 501c3 non-profit organization created to restore dignity and generate hope to people in need - at home and across the globe.  Our goals at this time involve the following:

Local Focus:  El Rio

  - Provide women with children a transitional living home
  - Provide food distribution services
  - Provide after-school tutoring for elementary
     school-age children

To accomplish these goals in El Rio, we are currently working with the Assembly of God Bethany Chapel, located on Stroube St.  Our Food Pantry Ministry has been in operation since January 19th.  We have provided food to many grateful families so far.  Volunteers are always needed.   Please click the link for this ministry for more information or to sign up to serve.

We also have the  Kid Power Tutoring Program up and running.  We need volunteers to bolster the skills of these kids and ready them for life.   Please click the link for this ministry for more information and/or to sign up to tutor.  You need not be a teacher to tutor.

For both of these ministries, bilingual ability in Spanish or Mixteco would be appreciated, but is not required.

Global Focus:  Moscow

  - Employ a paid representative in Moscow
  - Start a soup kitchen
  - Develop support for a Rescue Mission
  - Start an overnight shelter
  - Obtain property outside of Moscow

Saturday, August 23
This event will take place from 7:30AM-1:00PM at the Oxnard Performing Arts Center.  Mercy Ministries is partnering with 7 other organizations in Ventura County to host this event.  Along with the Walk-a-Thon, there will be more than 8 different bands playing, food supplies by Chick-fil-A, speakers, dancers, and more!  Each ministry will have a table present and be able to explain what their ministry is doing.  the proceeds from this event will be shared by the organizations (including Mercy Ministries).  Stop by the Connection Counter to sign up to walk, or to volunteer.  Contact Steve or Kathy Tanner for more information at ktanner02@roadrunner.com
